Our Company

We are a small business whose product concepts were born out of our parents’ garage. Those humble beginnings continue to shape our product pipeline to focus on products that address the basic skin health needs of the community. Skin health impacts our quality of life. Oftentimes, it becomes the barrier to enabling our daily routines. 

Our mission is to empower our community with the tools to own their individual skin again.

The company name Eigenskin, or ‘own skin’ in German, is a reminder of that mission.  Eigenskin literally means taking ownership of the health of your skin. Making sure that it is protected from the damaging and aging rays of the sun. Making sure that it can fulfill its job as a barrier for the body, to keep bad things on the outside and good things on the inside.

Our company logo represents a transformed fingerprint, paying homage to the transformative effects of healthy skin on quality of life. 

Today, we maintain our small company values. 

We work out of a shared lab space in the heart of Silicon Valley, built by a community of engaged scientists and engineers. 

We prioritize our resources on making products that deliver impactful results to our customer community. 

Our products are hand assembled and produced in small batches.

And finally, we fuss about what’s in the box rather than the box itself.
